Chairman/Director, Miss. Fauzia Husain Qureshi

Fauzia Husain CEO & President Fauzia Husain is the President of ICOMOS Pakistan.Fauzia H.Qureshi received a Bachelors of Architecture with a first class first gold medal from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore in 1975 and a Master of Architecture in Advanced Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge USA in 1980. She has been Director/Principal Architect of Unicon Consulting (Pvt) Ltd. one of the leading A/E consultancies of Pakistan. She is currently Director of FHQ & Associates (SMC-PVT) Ltd. She has taught for 35 years in the National College of Arts (NCA) and retired as Professor and Principal of National College of Arts in June 2011. She is currently President ICOMOS Pakistan for the term 2017-2020
She has been very active in the women’s movement in Pakistan since 1982 in WAF as well as with other NGO’s and civil society organizations in particular those related to heritage conservation issues. She has also been involved in numerous projects related to community participation in upgrading of katchi abadi’s, and integrated development schemes.
As private consultant she has been engaged in planning, conservation of the environment and more specifically the built heritage and architectural design of educational, institutional, commercial and residential buildings and interior design for over 40 years. She wrote the sector paper on Heritage Conservation for the Pakistan National Conservation Strategy (NCS), 1988 which was adopted as a policy in 1992 by the Government of Pakistan. She has been involved in preparing the Conservation and Management plans for three of the World Heritage sites located in Pakistan –the Lahore Fort (2003), Shalimar Gardens (2006), Rohtas Fort (2006).
She has authored a book ‘Multan: A Spiritual legacy’, documenting the architecture and history of 50 monuments comprising shrines, tombs, mosques, temples, city fort, walls and gates of Multan which was published in December 2013. She has also contributed chapters in numerous international books which include Pakistan’s Radioactive Decade, An Informal Cultural History of the 1970’s, (Edited by N Farrukh, A Gulgee, J McCurry, 2019, OUP), Punjab: Building the Land of Five Rivers (Edited by Abha Nairain Lambah, 2017, Marg Foundation), An Emancipated Place: 2000 Plus Women in Architecture (2000, HECAR Foundation). She has participated and presented innumerable papers in national and international conferences, seminars and courses.

CEO & Director, Mr. Imran Hafeez

At the outset of ongoing financial year, Board of Directors of First Capital Investment Limited (FCIL) appointed Mr. Imran Hafeez in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Hafeez is an action oriented professional with a track record of over 16 years as a business strategist and financial controller. He started his professional career with one of the Big-4 professional services firms in the world, Price waterhouse Coopers, as an article training student and dealt with a diversified client portfolio of multinational and local concerns. He joined the First Capital Group in 2004 and has been responsible for handling overall finance and accounts function of the Real Estate Division of the Group. He was offered a challenging position of Group director Finance for First Capital and Pace Group in 2012. Group was in serious financial crunch and financial institutions were aggressively demanding their repayments. During his term of service as Group Director Finance, he successfully engaged with the financial institutions and negotiated terms for restructuring and settlement of debts worth multi billion rupees. In addition he also successfully formulated and implemented policies for Group restructuring and revival. His services were not only limited in the financial restructuring, but also in the marketing and development phase. He has extensive experience of fund raising, feasibility analysis, pricing architecture, make vs. buy, capital investments, budgeting and cost management, project valuation and prioritization, financial statement analysis and risk management analysis for designing effective risk control mechanism. After successful revival of real estate projects, Mr. Imran has now formulated a comprehensive business plan for business development and growth of the First Capital Investment Limited (FCIL).

Mr. Hafeez is a Commerce graduate &an affiliate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and an associated member of Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA). Moreover, he has attended various courses and seminars conducted by professional and regulatory bodies.With an extensive expertise in the field of finance, restructuring, risk management and marketing, Mr. Imran Hafeez brings with him a versatile skill set, and under his leadership, the FCIL is expected to achieve new heights of progress.

 

Mr. Asif Pervaiz

Mr. Asif Pervaiz has over 40 years national and as well as abroad experience as a Project and Operations Management Specialist with experience in managing turn-key projects in various provinces of Pakistan and Abroad. He started his professional carrier with Consulting Services Incorporated, Lahore. Mr. Asif also served Ministry of Defense and Aviation Saudi Corps of Engineers, he was responsible for estimation, construction and maintenance of all the defense works at Northern Region of Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Asif Pervaiz also served as project Engineer in various project of Pace (Pakistan) Limited from 2002 to 2005 and also served as site engineer for construction of 2nd Tower of Lahore Stock Exchange, Lahore. He was over all in charge of various constructions and supervision of Government Projects, project schedules, co-ordination and customer relationship and liaison to ensure on time completion of the project.

Mr. Asif is a Civil Engineer and is registered as a “Professional Engineer” Under Pakistan Engineering Council.

Mr. Jawad Saleem

Mr. Jawad Saleem has professional experience of thirteen plus years. He is serving as Country Head Finance for Majid Al Futtaim Hypermarkets Pakistan (Private) Limited. After starting his carrier with Price Waterhouse Coopers Pakistan, he has served on key positions in entities like Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Center, Altas Copco Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited, Levis Strauss & Co & First Capital Group. He has proven track record of accomplishing challenging goals and creating value by setting vision and focus to success. His candidature, apart from his technical skill set, ticks several boxes in terms of vision, ability, intellect, leadership, passion, integrity and ethics. He is an effective organizational leader and have served as member of senior management in manufacturing, trading, entertainment, investment banking, retail & healthcare sectors. He likes to balance the responsibilities of stewardship with business partnership and act as the integrator and navigator for the organization.

He possess technical skill sets in areas of business expansion, working capital management, mergers & acquisitions, business process review, designing , re-engineering and automation, developing reliable controls systems within applicable audit frameworks, preparing separate and consolidated financial statements, financial management, reporting due diligence reviews, company valuations, business planning , budgeting, forecasting & financial modeling and treasury/investment management.

He possess multiple local/foreign professional certifications  including, Fellow Member Institute of Public Accountants of Australia, Fellow Member of Institute of Financial Accountants of UK, Associate Member of Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Associate member of South African Institute of Professional Accountants, Certified Internal Control Auditor USA and Master in  Business Administration.
